Storytrails is an immersive technology event which harnesses the magic of immersive storytelling. It uses augmented reality (like Pokémon go) and virtual reality experiences, all used to tell the stories of the people of Lincoln.

StoryTrails is visiting 15 cities across the country and Lincoln is one of the cities chosen.

There are 40 stories from people about memorable times, experiences they’ve had, or places they love in the city. They've been turned into a 3D map along with 3D scans of key places in Lincoln, and people will be able to go on a walk around the city with an app on their phones that they can use to bring these 3D scans of peoples stories to life. 

There’s also going to be an AR trail that families can do where you follow the Lincoln imp from the library up to the cathedral, meeting people and learning about the story of Lincoln’s steep hill and cathedral on the way.

You will be able to fly through a unique virtual map of Lincoln made up of 3D models and audio stories, as well as explore further stories using bespoke VR headsets.
