Rand Farm Park's Term Time Christmas Experience is a gentler way for younger children to meet Santa without the big immersive shows. Two of Santa's elves guide families through the town of Merryjingle, with festive activities, real reindeer and a present to take home.

With the older children at school, Merryjingle is a little quieter. Most of the elves are busy rehearsing for Mrs Claus' Christmas Day concert, but two of Santa's helpers are on hand to show younger visitors around.
Along the way, children can meet Rudi and Rossi, the farm's real reindeer, and make a bag of reindeer food to leave out on Christmas Eve. There's also a journey through the 3D Enchanted Forest and a chance to see what Ginger and Pepper are getting up to at Elf Academy.
The big moment is a visit to Santa in his grotto, followed by a trip to his secret Toy Shop to choose a present. Children can also decorate a gingerbread biscuit in Mrs Claus' Kitchen.
The Christmas experience itself is shorter than Rand Farm Park's main festive event, but admission also includes the farm's usual activities. That means there's time for indoor play, meeting the animals and animal experiences such as bottle feeding and small animal handling.
It's a useful option for families with preschoolers who'd enjoy meeting Santa and exploring Merryjingle without committing to the longer, show-led Christmas experience.
Good to know: You can arrive at the farm from 8.45am, but you'll need to be ready 15 minutes before your booked Christmas slot. Parking is free.
