(From Microsoft News) Minecraft has released a series of free educational sessions that parents can download to help children learn at home.
Minecraft Marketplace, which features items and add-ons that people can use in the popular block-building game, has a new Education section.

The educational content lets players explore the International Space Station, through a partnership with NASA, as well as learn to code with a robot, visit Washington DC landmarks, find and build 3D fractals, learn what it’s like to be a marine biologist and more. This is launching for free download today and will be available through til June 30, 2020.

Find some of your favourite lessons from Minecraft over at the Minecraft Marketplace. These worlds can be played on your own, with your children, parents or friends.

You can (from the comfort of your own home)...

• Tour the International Space Station

• Explore the inside of the human eye

• Learn to code with a robot

• Explore Washington DC landmarks

• Become a marine biologist

• Explore renewable energy

• Learn about Greek history

The worlds include puzzles, build challanges and lesson plans with creative writing activities.

These are free to download until June 30th 2020
