Retford Kings’ Park is a fantastic family destination with playgrounds, splash play, sand areas and activities for children of all ages to enjoy throughout the summer.

Retford Kings’ Park Splash Park

• Location: Retford Kings’ Park, Retford DN22 7BE
• Splash Park Opening: Daily, 10am - 6pm, May to September

The park features a large children’s play area packed with exciting and challenging equipment alongside traditional favourites including swings, slides and roundabouts suitable for a wide range of ages.

Families can also enjoy the popular water and sand play area, which opened in 2016 and includes interactive splash features designed for imaginative outdoor play.

The splash park operates seasonally and reopens daily from May to September between 10am and 6pm.

Park Facilities

Visitors can grab refreshments, snacks, ice creams and hot or cold drinks from the park kiosk, which is usually open throughout the summer season from April to September.

The kiosk also provides access to toilet facilities.

Retford Skate Park

Older children and teenagers can also make use of the nearby skate park and multi-use ball court located between Inkerbridge Bridge (Pelham Street) and Carr Bridge (West Street).

The bespoke concrete skate facility provides additional activities for older visitors looking for a more active day out.

With water play, playgrounds and plenty of outdoor space, Retford Kings’ Park is a brilliant family destination during the warmer months.
