Kimberley Boyd Baby Massage, Baby Yoga and Music and Movement Classes, Horncastle


I run weekly classes that you can join at any time (dependant on spaces) and you and your baby can attend the classes for as long as you wish once joined.  

Baby Massage | 10am - 11am

We will cover all massage strokes for the full body, which includes the chest, tummy, legs, feet, arms, hands, back, face and head each week. I pride myself on providing inclusive, friendly and supportive classes for new parents to attend with their baby. It can be quite daunting going to your first class and I want to reassure you that you will be made to feel very welcome and soon settle in. 

Baby massage has so many benefits for both parent and baby:

  • Aids relaxation and improves sleep
  • Relieves symptoms of colic and digestion problems such as constipation and reflux
  • Provides special bonding time for parent and baby
  •  Releases our happy hormones (Oxytocin) which calms both parent and baby and can aid lactation in breastfeeding mothers
  • Helps with teething and cold and flu symptoms
  • Encourages overall growth and development
  • Provides a support network for parents to 'off load' each week and share experiences, tips, worries and achievements.

The sessions are a good chance for you to meet new parents with babies of similar age to yours and to start to socialise with your new baby.  Groups are small and friendly, in cosy rooms suitable for feeding and a chat and a cuppa after the session.

Target Age: The class is for babies aged 4 weeks up until they are too mobile (usually crawling age).

Baby Yoga | 11:30 - 12:30

Baby Yoga is a lovely session for both parent and baby to enjoy together, the classes use movement and stretches for baby and some gentle ones for parent too, we use songs and sensory toys to make it fun for baby and use relaxation techniques to help calm you and your baby for an hour out of the daily stresses of life.

There are many benefits of yoga, which include:

  • Overall improved growth and development such as coordination, muscle tone, flexibility and brain organisation
  • Helps reduce stress and tension, releasing happy hormones (Oxytocin) in both parent and baby
  • Can help with colic and digestive problems for baby
  • Tones and strengthens muscles postnatally for mum, including pelvic floor muscles
  • Relaxes baby and can help improve sleep
  • Aids bonding between parent and baby
  • Aids communication and language skills

Refreshments are included and you are welcome to feed baby during or after the session.

Target Age: The class is for babies aged 10 weeks to crawling.

Music & Movement | 1:15 - 2:15pm

For babies crawling to confidently walking. This class combines elements of baby yoga, baby sensory, story massage, music & song to bring an engaging fun advanced class for once your baby has outgrown baby massage/baby yoga. Target Age: Babies crawling to confidently walking.

Baby Massage is where my journey began and this year marks seven years since I trained with To Baby and Beyond - the company I now am a freelance instructor trainer for as well.  Over the last four years I have trained hundreds of instructors across the UK, so I would say this is my expert field. I still absolutely love teaching this class and will never tire of seeing a parent and baby bonding in front of my eyes during the massage.

One to one sessions (or small groups - max 3) in your own home or over zoom can be arranged also if you cannot attend a class or would like a gentle introduction to get to know me and try it out before coming to class.
