Walks

Our country park offers a beautiful spot for a country stroll amongst nature and wildlife. There are a number of routes around our country park which you can explore on foot or on bicycle, and they are open to both residents and the general public. You’re welcome to bring dogs but we ask that they please remain on their lead. If you fancy a challenge then the famous Lincolnshire Spires and Steeples trail passes through the park which leads from Lincoln Cathedral to St Denys Church Sleaford. There are some short walks around the fishing lakes, so they're an ideal short stroll for younger children to enjoy. The paths are flat gravel, so suitable for pushchairs.

Relaxing and Play

You’re welcome to come and use our grounds for an idyllic picnic or a spot of sunbathing. We have ample green space for both residents and the general public to enjoy. There is a large area of flat grass with picnic benches in front of the cafe, where you can sit and enjoy a drink and a snack.

There is also now a new trim trail which children can enjoy. Parking and toilet facilities are available on site.

Cafe-Bar

Enjoy home cooked food, hot, cold and alcoholic drinks. We provide free wifi, use local produce where we can and welcome children until 9pm. Dogs are welcome at the park but will need to remain outside if you're visiting the bar due to space restrictions. You can view the menus here.

We are open for take-aways which can be enjoyed in our outside space. We do have minimal seating inside the cafe however this is on a first come first served basis. We are monitoring the government guidelines for updates on dining during Covid-19 and hope to resume a full service and booking option soon.

Fishing

There are multiple fishing lakes at Hanworth Country Park, all are open to our residents and day visitors. You’ll see a variety of fish in our lakes, including Mirror Carp, Common Carp, Chub, Barbel, F1s, Ide, Perch, Roach and Tench.
