Calling all budding knights and princesses! Head to Bolingbroke Castle for their Family Activity Day.

Family Activity Day & Dragon Egg Hunt at Bolingbroke Castle

22nd May | 11am - 3:30pm

Join in hunting for lost dragon eggs. Explore the nooks and crannies of the castle seeking the golden eggs, and then venture into the village on a special mission for the king. Impress the king's court with your finest costumes in the fancy dress competition at 12pm.

Booking

No booking required. Taking part in the Dragon Egg Hunt activity costs £2 per child with prize included.


About Bolingbroke Castle

The remains of a 13th century hexagonal castle, birthplace in 1367 of the future King Henry IV, with adjacent earthworks.Besieged and taken by Cromwell's Parliamentarians in 1643.This site is managed by Heritage Lincolnshire.

Facilities

There are no facilities at the castle but there is a pub nearby in the village, or the market town of Spilsby, 3 miles to the west, has a variety of shops and places to eat.

Safety

Please be aware that there is water in the moat surrounding the castle.

Dogs 

Dogs on leads are welcome. 


Parking 

There is a small car park on Moat Lane.

Access

Wheelchair access is available at both entrances from Moat Lane. Please note that, although paths are cut in the grass, the ground is uneven in most places.
